Many of the popular skin care treatments address only one or two issues. The overall health of the skin depends on its ability to retain moisture, the amount of nutrients delivered to the individual cells, and the efficiency with which the skin replaces damaged tissue with healthier growth. The HydraFacial treatment is unique in that it acts as a total rejuvenation process.
The treatment can be altered to address the specific concerns of the individual, but the main idea is to exfoliate, extract, and nourish the skin layers in a multi-step process. Most of our patients are thrilled with the immediate and long-term results of the HydraFacial treatment, and although it’s a complex procedure, it can be completed in less than an hour. Regardless of the skin problems experienced by the individual, there’s a customized procedure to correct them.
What Does It Treat?
Basically, this procedure removes dead and damaged cells and introduces nutrients. This allows the skin to repair itself. The treatment can help with such problems as wrinkles and fine lines, age spots, liver spots, injury scars, oily skin, and clogged or enlarged pores. Brittle skin texture and dull skin tone can be improved with a single treatment. The skin elasticity can also be addressed. The HydraFacial treatment is suitable for adults of all ages.
How It’s Performed
Although the treatment can be altered and can include additional steps, the basic procedure includes exfoliation, a mild peel procedure, extraction, and nutrient infusion. A soft brush instrument is used to exfoliate the skin and remove dead epidermal cells. This is followed by the application of a mild acid. The acid dries out the epidermis in a matter of minutes. The dried layer is washed away. Next, a suction device is used to open up clogged pores. Finally, a nutrient infusion is applied. This is a mix of gas and vapor and contains peptides and antioxidants.
Immediately after treatment, the individual notices an increased smoothness to the skin surface. The skin is glowing and radiant. Because the skin can now breathe more easily, the moisture balance is restored. The infused nutrients find their way to individual cells, and after a week or so has passed, additional improvement becomes noticeable.
Dark spots such as freckles and injury blemishes are less apparent because the cells that make up these discolorations have been replaced with healthier growth. Fine lines and wrinkles are less prominent because the skin modeling that follows the treatment includes the creation of additional collagen in the skin layers.
The individual can follow up on the treatment using several specialty products that are provided after the procedure is completed. All of these products work together along with the nutrients infused into the skin. In most cases, a second treatment isn’t necessary for many months.
